Handmade Eucalyptus Steamers: A Spa-Like Experience at Home
If you love the invigorating scent of eucalyptus and want to turn your shower into a spa-like escape, DIY eucalyptus shower steamers are a game changer! These little aromatherapy powerhouses release soothing vapors that help clear congestion, refresh your senses, and transform your daily shower into a relaxing retreat.
Why Use Eucalyptus Shower Steamers?
Clears congestion – Eucalyptus oil helps open up airways and ease sinus pressure.
Relieves stress – The calming scent promotes relaxation and mental clarity.
Easy to make – With just a few ingredients, you can create your own steamers at home.
Natural alternative – No synthetic fragrances or chemicals, just pure essential oils.

DIY Eucalyptus Shower Steamers Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup baking soda (acts as a base and fizzes when wet)
1/2 cup citric acid (adds the fizzing effect)
1/4 cup cornstarch (helps hold the shape)
2 tbsp water (adjust as needed)
20–30 drops eucalyptus essential oil (for a strong, refreshing scent)
Optional: 10 drops peppermint essential oil (for an extra cooling effect)
Optional: Green mica powder or dried eucalyptus leaves for decoration
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, combine baking soda, citric acid, and cornstarch.
Slowly add water, a little at a time, stirring constantly to avoid activating the citric acid.
Add eucalyptus essential oil (and peppermint oil if using) and mix well.
If desired, mix in mica powder for a spa-like color.
Pack the mixture firmly into silicone molds or a muffin tin.
Let the steamers dry for 24 hours until fully hardened.
Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
How to Use
Place a steamer on the shower floor (away from the direct stream of water). As it dissolves, the steam will carry the eucalyptus aroma, creating a spa-like atmosphere. Breathe deeply and enjoy!

Tips for Success
Too crumbly? Add a tiny bit more water.
Not fizzing enough? Check that your citric acid is fresh.
Want stronger scent? Add more essential oil.
