DIY Eucalyptus Shower Steamers Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup baking soda (acts as a base and fizzes when wet)

  • 1/2 cup citric acid (adds the fizzing effect)

  • 1/4 cup cornstarch (helps hold the shape)

  • 2 tbsp water (adjust as needed)

  • 20–30 drops eucalyptus essential oil (for a strong, refreshing scent)

  • Optional: 10 drops peppermint essential oil (for an extra cooling effect)

  • Optional: Green mica powder or dried eucalyptus leaves for decoration

Directions:
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine baking soda, citric acid, and cornstarch.

  2. Slowly add water, a little at a time, stirring constantly to avoid activating the citric acid.

  3. Add eucalyptus essential oil (and peppermint oil if using) and mix well.

  4. If desired, mix in mica powder for a spa-like color.

  5. Pack the mixture firmly into silicone molds or a muffin tin.

  6. Let the steamers dry for 24 hours until fully hardened.

  7. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.

How to Use

Place a steamer on the shower floor (away from the direct stream of water). As it dissolves, the steam will carry the eucalyptus aroma, creating a spa-like atmosphere. Breathe deeply and enjoy!
